Everything you need

450 tools covering the full DaVinci Resolve workflow — from the Media Pool to the final render.

Projects & Media Pool

Create, open and save projects, organize bins, import and relink media, sync audio and manage clip metadata, flags and markers.

Timeline Editing

Build timelines from clips, add tracks and transitions, change speed, transform and fades, and import or export EDL, AAF, XML and OTIO.

Color

CDL values, LUTs, saved grades, color groups and versions, and Gallery stills — apply a look to one clip or to the whole timeline.

Fusion

Add, connect and animate Fusion nodes inside a clip's composition, read and change any input, and insert Fusion titles and generators.

Audio

Fades, audio channel mapping, loudness normalization and Fairlight presets for the clips and tracks of your timeline.

Render & Delivery

Render presets, formats and codecs, output paths and the render queue — start a render and know when it is done.

LUTs, DCTL & Add-ons

Install, list and remove LUTs, DCTLs, Fuses, macros, templates and scripts in DaVinci Resolve's own folders.

Built for AI Agents

The whole project state in one call, several steps in one request, and built-in guides so any AI client knows how to work with Resolve.

Up and running in minutes

Three steps from your license to your first prompt.

1

Install with Synthetic Setup

Download Synthetic Setup from your dashboard and run it: it adds the server to Claude Desktop, Cursor, Claude Code and Codex with your license already loaded.

2

Connect DaVinci Resolve

Open Resolve with a project and paste one line into Workspace → Console, once per Resolve session. The install guide shows the exact line.

Workspace → Console → Lua
3

Start editing

Ask your AI client something like "add a marker at the start of every clip on track 1, then render the timeline".

Works with DaVinci Resolve's free edition

Verified on Windows with the free DaVinci Resolve 21.1.1. macOS is in beta: it has not been fully tested and may have errors. Your video files are not uploaded to Synthetic: the server runs on your computer and talks to DaVinci Resolve locally; your AI assistant only sees what the tools return to it.
