IL Agent 2.0 is a panel with a chat inside Illustrator. Tell it what you need in your own words: it reads your project, does the work and tells you what changed. It runs on the AI you already use.
Documents, artboards, shapes, paths, text, color, effects and export — by describing what you want.
Illustrator 2023 or later · Windows & macOS (beta) · One license for 2 computers · You pay your AI provider directly
One conversation, two modes. A line marks every switch and each answer shows which mode it came from.
Reads only
It reads your project to answer, explain and suggest, and it changes nothing. Ask freely.
«Which fonts does this document use?»
Works for you
It can work in Illustrator: create, edit, organize and export. Before deleting, saving or running code it asks you, and shows what it is about to do.
«Turn the text into outlines and export each artboard as SVG»
Synthetic does not resell AI. Connect what you have, and add or change connections whenever you want.
If you pay for Claude or ChatGPT, the official programs Claude Code and Codex run on that subscription: no API bill. IL Agent 2.0 signs in with them and keeps working inside the panel.
Paste a key from Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, Groq, Mistral, DeepSeek, xAI and more, and pay only for what you use.
Use Ollama, LM Studio or another local server. No key, no cloud, no per-use cost. Ollama also offers cloud models.
It reads before it changes, asks before it deletes, and shows you what it did.
Every request starts by looking at your project, so it works on what is really there and not on a guess.
Deleting, saving, replacing or running code asks for your OK first. Say «yes to all of this request» when you want it to flow.
Use your Claude Code or ChatGPT (Codex) subscription, an API key, or models that run on your own computer.
Pick the model and how hard it thinks for each connection, and switch from the panel in one click.
A line shows what it is doing right now — thinking, running a step or waiting for you — so it never looks stuck.
Save the code that worked, run it again with one click, and export or import your collection.
Usage and approximate costs of each request, from the published prices of the providers (with their date).
Your keys live in your computer's secure store. Your prompts go straight to the AI you chose, not through Synthetic.
Real requests, in your own words. These are examples: the agent adapts to your project.

Three steps from purchase to your first request.
Run Synthetic Setup (it detects your Adobe apps), or download the .zxp from your dashboard and install it with ZXP Installer.
Paste your license key once. If you used Synthetic Setup it is already loaded. The panel renews itself while you are online.
Choose how to connect, type what you want and press Enter. Switch between Chat and Agent whenever you like.
Yes. IL Agent 2.0 does not include AI: you connect the one you already use (a Claude Code or Codex subscription, an API key or a local model) and pay it directly to your provider. With a local model there is no cost.
Only what the agent reads from your project to answer your request goes to the AI you chose, straight to your provider. Your keys are stored in your computer's secure store.
In Chat it changes nothing. In Agent it asks before deleting, saving or running code. Even so, keep your usual backups: you are always in charge.
The panel keeps working for up to 7 days without a connection to renew itself. Your AI needs its own access, unless you use a local model.
Yes: one license key works on 2 computers. You can free one from your dashboard.
