The usual snags and how to solve them.

Installing and activating

Windows shows a security notice when I run the installer

Choose More info and then Run anyway. The installer does not need administrator rights.

The first start does not finish

It needs to download its components. Check your connection and free disk space, then try again: it continues where it stopped. On a company network, ask whoever manages it to allow the connection.

The activation screen says something is wrong

• Your authorization expired: connect to the internet to renew it, or paste your key again.
• The authorization is from another computer: paste your key to activate this one.
• The clock is behind: correct the date and time of Windows and open Midokoro again.
• The key is rejected, or you reached 2 computers: check it in Dashboard → Licenses and free a computer if you need to.

It says "Midokoro no responde"

The program was closed on your computer. Open it again and the page reconnects by itself.

Analyzing

A link fails or says it cannot read the video

Private videos, content protected against copying, a livestream that already ended or a site asking to verify that you are not a robot cannot be read. Try another link, or download the video and choose it as a file with Elegir video de mi PC….

It found no moments

Calm videos have few peaks. Midokoro still offers the 3 most intense points when it can. Try a longer or livelier video, or a section of it.

It is slow

A long video takes roughly a third of its length. Close heavy programs, analyze only a section to try it, and check Rendimiento (Performance) in Ajustes: it sets how many processor threads Midokoro may use.

The subtitles get a name wrong

In Ajustes → Vocabulario propio (Own vocabulary) add the names and words the transcription must respect.

Versions, editing and export

Some versions failed

Check that you have free disk space and press Volver a crear (Create again). If one clip fails again, open its project and try that clip alone.

The wrong person is framed

Who is speaking is an estimate. Correct it with Ajustar a mano: see Formats and speaker tracking.

My editing program does not open the export

Use the import command that matches your program (see Editor and export). If it still fails, export with Otro programa (EDL and SRT) or create the finished video.

Telegram

• The test fails: check the token, and that you sent /start to your bot. Press Buscar mi chat again.
• It does not react in a group: add the user IDs in Quién puede manejar el bot.
• A video does not arrive: Telegram's standard bots accept files up to 50 MB. Send a smaller version.
