Installation
AE Agent is a CEP extension for After Effects. Install it in under 2 minutes — no command line required.

Step-by-step installation

Purchase a plan
Go to synthetic.com.ar/pricing and choose a Monthly or Annual plan for AE Agent. After purchase you'll receive a confirmation email with your license key.

Download the .zxp from your dashboard
Sign in at synthetic.com.ar/auth/login and go to Dashboard → Downloads. Click Download AE Agent .zxp.

Install ZXP Installer (if you don't have it)
ZXP Installer is the standard free tool for installing AE extensions. Download it at:

ZXP Installer is free and trusted by thousands of motion designers. It's the standard way to install any AE extension distributed as a .zxp file.

Install the extension
Double-click the
ae-agent.zxp file — ZXP Installer opens automatically and installs it. Alternatively, open ZXP Installer first and drag the .zxp file into it.5
Restart After Effects
Close After Effects completely and reopen it. Extensions are only loaded at startup.
After Effects must be fully closed — not just the project. Quit and relaunch.

Open the panel
In After Effects, go to:The AE Agent panel opens. On first launch it will ask you to configure your API key.
Window → Extensions → AE Agent
Verifying the installation
Once the panel is open, you should see the AE Agent chat interface with a green dot in the top bar indicating After Effects is connected. If you see a red dot, try restarting After Effects.
If the extension doesn't appear in
Window → Extensions, make sure you restarted After Effects completely after installation. If it still doesn't appear, check that your AE version supports CEP extensions.
