AE Bridge

AE Bridge

AE Bridge sends what you have selected in Figma, Illustrator, After Effects or Photoshop to any of the other programs and rebuilds it as native, editable layers. Premiere Pro receives it too, as pictures. This guide covers installing it, connecting your programs and using it every day.

How it works

You install the panel with Synthetic Setup (which also loads your license) and, if you use Figma, add its plugin once. From then on your programs connect by themselves when you open them: pick the one you want to talk to, select your artwork and press a button to send it there or to bring its selection here.

What travels and how

  • Vectors, editable text, gradients, strokes and images arrive as native layers, not as one flat picture.
  • Between Figma, Illustrator, After Effects and Photoshop, in any direction: send your selection or bring the one from another program.
  • Send again to update: the layers you sent before are replaced, and the animation, effects and timing you added in After Effects stay.
  • Premiere Pro receives the design in a new sequence as pictures, one video track per layer. In this version text arrives as a fixed picture, not as editable text.
  • Turn on Rasterize to send the selection as an exact image when a look cannot travel as layers.

Your artwork travels between your programs inside your own computer and is never uploaded to Synthetic. Only the license is verified online.
