AE Curves · Installation

Install AE Curves

AE Curves is a panel you install in After Effects. It runs on 64-bit Windows 10 and 11 with After Effects 2022 or later.

    Install with Synthetic Setup

    Download Synthetic Setup from your dashboard (Downloads) and run it: it finds your After Effects, installs the panel and loads your license for you. Close After Effects before installing.

    Restart After Effects completely

    The first time after installing or updating, close After Effects fully and open it again: the panel needs to load at startup.

    Open it from the menu

    In After Effects go to Window → Extensions → Synthetic AE Curves.

    Dock the panel

    It is a dockable window: drag it next to your timeline or wherever you prefer and it stays there.

Why the restart? After Effects reads a panel's permissions only at startup. If the chat tells you a restart is missing, this is why; the rest of the panel works meanwhile. You only need it the first time after installing or updating.

Prefer to do it by hand? Download the .zxp file from Dashboard → Downloads and install it with ZXP Installer, with After Effects closed. Then paste your key in Settings (the gear).
