Synthetic Installer
Privacy & security
What the installer reads, changes and sends, in plain words.
What it reads on your PC
Which Adobe apps and AI apps are installed, and the Synthetic entries already in them. This stays on your PC.
What it changes
- Adds or updates the Synthetic entry in the configuration file of each AI app you tick.
- Installs the panel in your Adobe extensions folder.
- Keeps a small installation record in a .synthetic folder inside your user folder.
- Never touches entries that are not Synthetic's.
What it sends
- Your email and the sign-in code, to synthetic.com.ar.
- A request for your licenses every time it opens, and the version checks for your tools; your license key travels only over HTTPS to synthetic.com.ar.
- A device identifier and your computer's name, so your plan's device limit can be applied.
- Nothing else: the installer has no analytics, and it never receives your files or projects.
Your session
After you sign in, the app keeps a session so you do not have to sign in every time. On Windows it is encrypted with your own Windows account; on macOS it is a file only your user can read. It never leaves your PC, and signing out deletes it.
Downloads
The panels and the tools come from synthetic.com.ar. If your PC has no Node.js, the installer downloads a private copy from nodejs.org and checks its SHA-256 fingerprint against a value built into the app before using it.
About the security warning
Synthetic Setup is not code-signed yet. Windows SmartScreen may say that it protected your PC, and macOS may say that it cannot verify the app. Download it only from synthetic.com.ar, and see Troubleshooting for how to open it. Troubleshooting
